A Wayfaring Poet

Picture

8 – 18 November 2011

The Nehru Centre Gallery, 8 South Audley Street, London W1K 1HF

Rabindranath Tagore was one of the most widely travelled people of his time and even today one would be hard pressed to find such an intrepid wanderer.

His travels overseas - interspersed with those that took place within his homeland of India - are the subject matter for this exhibition and feature photographs,  of his travels away from the Indian subcontinent and his meetings with many eminent personalities of his time to give an insight of how these visits went.

The exhibition, curated by the Tagore Centre UK, will also provide the context in which these photos were taken so as to allow the viewer to take a refreshing dip into this great man's history.
